Why Cycle?

According to government figures, only half as many women as men cycle and women don't usually cycle as far - so come on girls, we can't have this, get those bikes out of the garage and start pedalling!

Steady cycling burns approximately 300 calories per hour and it also helps to build muscle and therefore boosts your metabolic rate long after you've hopped off the saddle.

Regular cyclists generally have a fitness level equal to that of someone 10 years younger - so put your friends to shame with your toned physique

Have you noticed the number of cycles parked outside cafes on a weekend - so calling in for a cuppa and a bite to eat sounds a good idea.

  • Cycle to work - easier to park your cycle than pay expensive car parking bills.
  • Cycling is a great aerobic exercise to improve fitness.
  • Just cycle for fun and enjoy the fresh air.
